I think most of us would agree, it’s been a bumpy ride this year globally, nationally and individually for many of us.
I believe our consciousness has a lot to do with the circumstances surrounding us. Many of us have been asleep and unconscious for a long time.
We have unwittingly participated in creating the mess.
It’s time to wake up.
There’s no more time for apathy, avoidance, denial and procrastination. We can’t keep thinking someone else will take care of the problems. We are largely in the position we are in because of our narrow-sightedness and unwillingness to pay attention to what is happening in our personal lives and the collective as a whole.
Hence, here we are. Rough times ahead?
No doubt.
But, how rough it gets will depend somewhat on how we handle ourselves in the storm. This is true in life’s daily struggles as well as with the larger global events.
Yes, there is much going on that we simply have no control over. We read the headlines daily and shudder, shake our heads and wonder how it all came to this. What can we do to help and make a difference now that things are such a mess?
Many of my clients ask me, “What’s happening out there? Why is it so crazy? Will it get better?”
I wish I knew.
They feel confused, disillusioned and, frankly, scared…
Often when clients discuss the struggles in their own lives, they will ask, “What is the one most important thing I can do to improve my life?”
I always have the same answer: “Go into the silence. All of your answers are there.”
We live in a world of overwhelming noise. It keeps us weak, unconscious, scared, disempowered, and full of self-doubt. We have more distractions now than ever in history. Phones, computers, endless mindless video games, social media, the list goes on and on…
All of this noise disconnects us from our inner voice; the wise part of us that is connected to the Source of all things. It is similar to a lamp not being plugged into electricity. The lamp is useless without its source.
We are useless to make a difference when our minds are polluted with toxic noise. The noise is primarily fear-based and is there to keep us small and unaware of our true nature.
You are more that this and you can make a difference. Refuse to listen to the noise. Refuse to go into the trance of mindless chatter, disempowering messages and toxic fear.
When you go into the silence you hear a wiser voice that tells you how you can make a difference. This voice knows how you can best navigate the challenges in your life and rise above the fear. This voice is has your best interest at heart and wants you to be happy and succeed.
By listening to this inner voice, you may also be guided to how you may make a difference in the larger collective issues at hand. What is your particular assignment?
My assignment is to help individuals transform their consciousness so they can be more effective in their own lives and, hence, the world-at-large.
I believe everyone has their own assignment. Are you living yours? You can make a difference and help.
Just listen to your own voice. Ask what you can be doing to make a situation better and pay attention to what you receive as an answer. It may take some practice to develop this skill, but it is pre-programmed into all of us to be able to do this.
This is the best advice I have on how to navigate rough times ahead.
The more we listen and act on the guidance we receive, the greater chance for smooth sailing.
Life will always have rough times. We are here to grow and evolve, but we can do our best to move through those times with wisdom, maturity, trust and faith.
